Duke Energy Rebates
Third-party utility program — not administered by Three Guys Master Tradesmen
Important:
Customers must schedule a Home Energy Check before replacing your AC unit to qualify for a rebate.
Get a Home Energy Check by phone or in person at (877) 230-6609, or start one online through Duke Energy’s Home Energy Check.
Types of Upgrades
Heat pump manufacturers use two rating systems to measure how effectively a unit heats or cools: Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) and Heating Season Performance Factor (HSPF). The higher the SEER and HSPF numbers, the better the unit performs. Schedule an appointment with a licensed, insured air conditioning contractor to make any recommended repairs.
Upgrade Heating Strips
High Efficiency option — $600 rebate toward replacing an existing strip heat system. The new heat pump system must meet at least: 16.0 SEER & 9.0 HSPF, or 15.2 SEER2 & 7.5 HSPF2.
Higher Efficiency option — $1,000 rebate toward replacing an existing strip heat system. The new heat pump system must meet at least: 16.8 SEER & 9.0 HSPF, or 16 SEER2 & 7.5 HSPF2.
Upgrade an Existing Heat Pump
$500 rebate toward replacing an existing heat pump system. The new system must meet at least: 16 SEER & 9.0 HSPF, or 15.2 SEER2 & 7.5 HSPF2.
Upgrade Your Air Conditioner
$300 rebate toward replacing an existing AC system. The new system must meet at least: 16 SEER, or 15.2 SEER2.
Multifamily Properties & Manufactured Homes
Upgrade heating strips — $600 rebate toward replacing an existing strip heat system. The new heat pump system must meet at least: 16.0 SEER & 9.0 HSPF, or 15.2 SEER2 & 7.5 HSPF2.
After your contractor completes all necessary work, submit and track your rebate online through the HEI Rebate Portal. In the case of an emergency replacement, you must complete the Home Energy Check within 12 months of installation to qualify. All work must be completed by a licensed, insured air conditioning contractor.

Do you offer a senior citizen discount?
Yes. We proudly offer a 5% Senior Citizen Discount, and it stacks with all other discounts and rebates when applicable.
Do you offer a military discount?
Yes. Active-duty service members, veterans, and retired military qualify for a 5% Military Discount.

Do you offer a first responder discount?
